Because "classmate to classmate" contact has proven to be the most effective way for Queens to reach its alumni, Queens has developed a class representative system. This system currently consists of a class president, agent and reporter. Through these positions, along with other alumni volunteers, we hope alumni will stay in touch with one another, as well as with Queens.
Class representatives are elected each year during Reunion Weekend and volunteers are asked to serve until their next reunion (about five years). This enables Queens to establish a lasting relationship with these volunteers. A class is able to elect more than one person to each office; in fact, it is encouraged. This sharing of responsibility is a great way for classmates to work together and get more volunteer involvement, while reducing their workload.
Below are job descriptions for all class representative positions. If you are interested in serving as a class rep, please contact Beth Levanti, assistant director for Alumni Programs, at levantib@queens.edu or (704) 337-2536.
