Founded as a group of interested citizens who pledged to provide support and resources to Everett Library, the Friends of the Library organization at Queens University of Charlotte is an integral part of the life of Everett Library. Over the past 33 years, the Friends of the Library have provided thousands of dollars of support to Everett Library for books, equipment, renovation and service enhancement.

The Friends of the Library regularly offer social and literary programming to faculty, staff and students of Queens and residents of the surrounding community through Book Talks, Book and Author Events, and the Annual Meeting.

In the fall and spring of 2001-2002, this 600+ member organization established an endowment for the Annual Book and Author Event. Board members raised more than $100,000.

Everett’s FOL is a member of FOLUSA, the national association of Friends of the Library USA.
