Mon, May 8  

Be at the USAirways International check-in at the Charlotte Airport no later than 2:45! [Allow plenty of time for security.] Depart Charlotte 5:25 pm, USAirways #306, for Philadelphia (arrive 7:01 pm).  Depart Philadelphia, 9:05 pm, USAirways #306, for Dublin.  Please note that the plane will stop in Philadelphia, but you will NOT be changing planes!

Tue, May 9  

Arrive Dublin  8:55 am.   Transfer to coach (Irish Coaches) for transit to Belfast.  En route: stop in Drogheda for visit and lunch; Knowth (Reservation at 1:00).  After arrival in Belfast, brief orientation and dinner with group.

Wed, May 10 

Belfast: 9:20 am, leave hotel for morning walkabout.  Afternoon:  Bus Tour Belfast and Ulster Museum. 

Thu, May 11 

Belfast: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for Sligo (Furey’s of Sligo).  En route: Giant’s Causeway and Dunluce Castle. After hotel check-in, brief orientation and walkabout.

Fri, May 12 

Sligo: 8:30 am, leave hotel for visit Carrowmere Megalithic Cemetery.  Afternoon: Lough Glencar and Glencar Waterfall.

Sat, May 13 

Sligo: 7:45 am, leave hotel for visit to W.B. Yeats Graveyard and Drumcliff High Cross and Round Tower.  Afternoon: Queen Maeve’s Tomb.

Sun, May 14 

Sligo: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for Galway.  En route: Croaghpatrick and Famine Ship Memorial.  Lunch in Westport.  Afternoon: after hotel check-in, brief orientation and walkabout. 

Mon, May 15 

Galway: 8:50 am, leave hotel for Ballyvaughn Visitor’s Center and Cliffs of Mohr.  Afternoon:  Kilfenora Cathedral and High Crosses, Poulnaborne Dolemen and Gleninsheen Wedge Tomb.
 
Tue, May 16 

Galway: 8:15 am, leave hotel (bring FOOD for lunch) for Inishmor (Aran Islands) via Aran Island Ferries (bus departs 9:30 from Kinlay House Hostel—Merchant Rd).

Wed, May 17 

Galway: 7:30 am, leave hotel with luggage for Dingle.  After hotel check-in, brief orientation and walkabout. 

Thu, May 18 

Dingle: 8:30 am, leave hotel for Dingle Way, Slea Head Drive, Dunbeg Fort, Fahan Beehive Huts Slea Head.  Afternoon: Ballyferritier Dun An Oir Fort and beach, Kilmalkedar Church, St. Brendan’s House, Gallarus Oratory.

Fri, May 19 

Dingle: 9:30 am, leave hotel for Harry Clark Windows of Diseart and Ocean World.  Afternoon: EXPLORE DINGLE: bike riding, harbor walk, horseriding, etc.

Sat, May 20 

Dingle: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for Kilkenny.  En route: Rock of Cashel.  After hotel check-in, brief orientation and walkabout.   

Sun, May 21 

Kilkenny: St. Canice’s Cathedral and Round Tower.

Mon, May 22 

Kilkenny: 8:00 am, leave hotel for Jerpoint Abbey, Callan Famine Graveyard.  Afternoon: Waterford, Reginold’s Tower and Dunmore East Lighthouse and beach.

Tue, May 23 

Kilkenny:  8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage (and FOOD for lunch) for Dublin.  En route: Glendalough Monastic Site.  After hotel check-in, orientation and walkabout.  Afternoon: History Walking Tour (1916 Easter Uprising).

Wed, May 24 

Dublin:  8:45 am, leave hotel for Trinity College (Library and Book of Kells).    Afternoon: National Museum. 

Thu, May 25 

Dublin: 8:30 am, leave hotel for the Irish Museum of Modern Art.  Afternoon: EXPLORE DUBLIN:  Dublin Castle, Grafton Bridge, O’Connell Street, Guinness Brewery, etc.  

Fri, May 26 

Dublin: 8:45 am, leave hotel for Writers’ Museum.  Afternoon: EXPLORE DUBLIN:  Dublin Castle, Grafton Bridge, O’Connell Street, Guinness Brewery, etc.
