We have developed an alumni mentoring program, allowing undergraduates to connect with Queens graduates who work in the student's field of study. Additionally, alumni mentors are able to provide knowledge, values, perspectives, networking and resource information to help students achieve their career goals.
The Blair House staff is here to assist with all phases and aspects of the job/career search process. We work hand-in-hand with each student to develop a life-work plan, locate internships, develop resumes and cover letters, learn interviewing techniques, conduct job offer and salary negotiations, and coping with the transition from college to the "real world." Please call to make individual appointments or come by The Blair House. Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30-5:30 and Friday, 8:30-12 noon, by appointment only after 12 noon on Friday.
We now offer two computerized assessments (Career Liftoff and MAPP.) Each assessment is completed with a Counseling Session with Blair House staff member to assist in comprehending the results and utilizing them in a life-work plan.
