According to the Association of College and Research Libraries, information literacy is a set of abilities requiring individuals to "recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information" - ACRL (Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education).
Everett librarians and staff are committed to the principles of information fluency and library instruction. Librarians are available for in-class instruction for students within all disciplines of the University. Faculty are encouraged to visit the Everett Library Portal page for Library Instruction if they wish to schedule a library instruction session. |
