Union-PSCE at Charlotte’s collection of books and other resources are housed in Everett Library at Queens University of Charlotte.
The printed book collection of the theological library may be found in designated Circulation and Reference shelving on the 2nd floor of Everett Library. All of the theological and professional journals are located downstairs and are combined with the periodicals of Queens University of Charlotte. Books and journals from the collection can be found in the Everett Library catalog. All seminary students are able to use Everett library’s electronic resources to search the online catalog, access databases, search for journals, and access electronic reserves.
In addition to the important print materials in the theological collection, the following are some of the electronic databases available in Everett Library that are specifically designed for theological students—1) ATLAS: an online electronic collection of religious and theological journals, some of which are full-text; 2) Bible Reference: an online database that gives access to such things as current Bible translations and commentaries, worship resource, theological dictionaries, and educational material; 3) BibleWorks: a very powerful and sophisticated Bible research program that is essentially an electronic concordance and morphological program; 4) Journal Finder: an integrated search interface that determines if the Library provides electronic access to a journal or owns a print copy; and, 5) E-Reserves: an electronic program that allows students to view print resources on reserve and to view full-text on electronic reserve material.
