CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Sept. 29, 2009) - A group of 25 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools principals is studying leadership development through a program created by The Cato School of Education and The Executive Leadership Institute at The McColl School of Business.
The curriculum was specifically designed for the 25 educators who have three- to five years of experience, and represent all school levels. The program focuses on leadership fundamentals, with a focus on leading through change. It is designed for principals who have mastered the mechanics of their positions and seek to sharpen their leadership skills.
This program features a unique partnership between faculty from the McColl School of Business and Wayland H. Cato Jr. School of Education at Queens University of Charlotte.
The McColl School’s Executive Leadership Institute creates customized leadership development programs for a variety of companies and organizations in the Charlotte area. Each program is highly interactive, using case studies, group exercises and application of what students learn in their own schools between sessions. It will be grounded in research on leadership and change, but also highly practical. |
