Campus Planning & Services

Queens University of Charlotte is the host to a number of summer camps and conferences including the Brad Hoover Football Camp, Creative Sports Soccer Camp, Queens Athletic Camps, and Tomorrow's America Conferences.  We offer our residence halls for overnight camps and conferences.  Our meeting spaces range from small break out rooms for 15 to a large auditorium for 1,000.  For more information on how to book a camp or conference please contact the Facility Rentals Office at 704-337-2560 or by email.
The following is a list of 2009 Summer Camps and Conferences which will be held on the Queens University of Charlotte campus.  These organizations are leasing space on the campus, and Queens University of Charlotte is not a direct sponsor, promoter or partner.  Please contact the camp directly for more information.
Sports International Football Camps
Brad Hoover Camp, June 13 – 16, 2009
Sports International hand selects only the most knowledgeable and experienced individuals, college and high school football coaches, and NFL players to host each youth football camp, so that you will have the most rewarding Football Camp experience possible. Each NFL player will bring in additional football players and coaches from their NFL team to work with our outstanding football coaching staff. You will learn individual football and team techniques from Top NFL Players and coaches that get right "down in the dirt" and coach while they are in football camp. It does not matter what football position you play such as Quarterback, Running Back, or Offensive Lineman, this camp is for you! (All football positions are available except kicker and punter).

Royal School of Church Music
July 6 - 12, 2009
The Royal School of Church Music in America Charlotte Training Course will be offered at Queens University of Charlotte and Myers Park Baptist Church.  Boys, girls, and teens ages 10-18 with formal choir experience and the ability to match pitch are welcome to join the course.  Adults, especially choir directors, are also welcome.  This year, the director is Mr. James Litton, Director Emeritus of the American Boychoir School.  For registration forms and more information, please see the course web site.

Tomorrow’s America Foundation - Broyhill Leadership Conferences

Broyhill Leadership Conferences are open to rising 10th graders through college age students who are interested in personal development and leadership training.  The Broyhill philosophy is one that encompasses a belief in perseverance, self-reliance, and service to others. Young leaders are taught to apply these principles to make many lasting contributions to their community, state, and country.

Creative Player
Soccer Camp, July 5 – 10, 2009
The Creative Player Camp features full-day and evening soccer camp.  Creative Player SKILLS camps are regarded as amongst the top youth development camps available. Each camp features the Creative Player SKILLS curriculum and CREATE coaching philosophy which remarkably improves the technical and tactical quality of each player and team participating. This camp offers two skill level programs:  
- Level I SKILLS Mastery Academy (challenge & classic players) Ideal for ages 7 – 12
-Level II SKILLS Advanced Academy (classic & premier players) Ideal for ages 13 - 18

Champion Wrestling
Wrestling Camp, June 11 - 14 (Day Camp)  / July 17 - 21, 2009 (Overnight Camp)

This camp is for individuals of all age groups and levels of experience. Campers will be put into groups the first day from less experienced to most experienced and teaching sessions will be organized targeting each group's needs, instructed by experienced coaches including National Champions, NCAA All-Americans. While less experienced wrestlers will be taught the basics of the sport more advanced wrestlers will learn higher level techniques and proper drilling. Topics include stance, set-ups, takedowns, throws, trips, Russian Ties, defense and counter-offense. Also, stress high percentage scoring techniques that will improve every wrestler's ability. All aspects of top wrestling will be covered including breakdowns, tilts, turns, legs and pinning. Although live wrestling will be limited to 40%, there will be a tournament at the end of the camp and Champions will be awarded.
