FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE News Release Weather Keeps Kanyaruhuru in CharlotteQueens runner will not run on national television CHARLOTTE, N.C., (February 22, 2008) — Daniel Kanyaruhuru (Phoenix, Ariz./Paradise Valley) was set to run in the 2008 AT&T USA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center at Roxbury Community College in Boston, on Saturday, Feb. 23 in the men’s 3000m run, but he will not make it this year. A winter storm has cancelled all flights into Boston. The meet is scheduled to air on Sunday, Feb. 24 starting at 5pm on ESPN2. Queens’ Kanyaruhuru may also appear on ESPN during the same broadcast as he competed in the U.S. Cross Country Championships on February 16 in San Diego, Calif. ESPN will air a 15-minute segment of the race in which Kanyaruhuru finished 21st putting him in the pool of athletes who could be selected to the U.S. national cross country team.
