Degree Requirements for the Master of Arts in Organizational and Strategic Communication
Queens University of Charlotte is proud to offer a newly expanded Master of Arts in Organizational and Strategic Communication, supported by local state-of-the-art technology and abundant ties to the Charlotte business community.
Comprised of 11 core and elective courses totaling 36 hours of study, the core curriculum consists of a Research Proseminar, Ethical Issues in Communication, and a Capstone Seminar in Communication. Additionally, the student selects an emphasis on Strategic or Organizational Communication, through choice of nine hours in one of the two tracks. The major is rounded out by 18 hours of elective courses ranging widely in topic, from Gender and the Workplace and Interpersonal Communication to Environmental Advocacy in Organizations and Global and International Communication.

About the Curriculum
The curriculum of the Master of Arts in Organizational and Strategic Communication is comprised of three core courses:
COMM 602 Research Proseminar
COMM 614 Ethical Issues in Communication
COMM 675 Capstone Seminar in Communication
In addition, each student will choose courses in either the Organizational Communication track or the Strategic Communication Track based on personal interest and course availability.
