Visit the center 30 times over the semester and receive motivational rewards along the way! Check out the information board in the fitness center for more about this program and a sign-up sheet. You can start in the fall or spring!
Zumba
Zumba workout mixes body sculpting movements with dance steps derived from cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip hop, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and calypso and Salsaton. The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms.
Yoga
This exercise in physical and mental cultivation promotes good health, contributes to longevity, and culminates into happiness and peace. No experience is necessary.
Full Body Fitness
Join CJ Williams, certified personal trainer, as he teaches some simple exercises to burn fat and build both strength and endurance. You do not have to be an athlete to join and no experience is necessary.
TaiChi
TaiChi uses meditative movement to integrate the body into a controlled functional unit. Through time, the TaiChi practice helps calm the mind, relieves stress, and promotes energy (qi) circulation. In this
class we will learn basic qigong movement, the first section of the TaiChi solo-form,
and basic partner-work (tuishou or "pushing-hands").
