WHAT IS Q LEADERS?

Q Leaders is a leadership program geared for Queens University of Charlotte traditional undergraduate students.  Q Leaders stands for “Queens Leaders”.  Participants of this program will learn vital leadership tactics and topics which will strengthen their leadership awareness and help each participant implement leadership into practice within their student club or organization as well as in the Charlotte community.  Q Leader participants will also gain valuable skills and knowledge of leadership, exposure to different leadership concepts and ways of thinking, create working relationships with fellow peers, current student leaders, and Charlotte community leaders.  

WHAT WILL I LEARN FROM Q LEADERS?

• Gain important skills and a stronger knowledge base of leadership
• Learn different leadership concepts, ideas and ways of thinking
• Share experiences and ideas with fellow peers
• Create working relationships with fellow peers, current student leaders, Queens professors and Charlotte community leaders
• Build a confidence in creating and seeking leadership opportunities
• Evaluate own strengths and weaknesses pertaining to leadership
• Approach and conquer difficult situations and handle conflict accordingly

HOW CAN I JOIN Q LEADERS?

Q Leaders is a program which is open to all years for traditional undergraduate students.  The eight workshops will take place every fall with two workshop phases that will alternate every year so if a student wants to take two consecutive years of Q Leaders they are able to do so.

Q Leaders workshops typically take place every Wednesday for an about an hour and a half starting at 4:30 p.m.  During the first half hour, the Q Leaders will engage in an interactive activity and the last hour is focused on group discussion.  The Q Leaders will not go without “food for thought”!  Delicious food will always be provided during Q Leaders workshops!
