Justin Moss began his career in the newsroom working for a CBS station. Now, with more than 10 years of marketing and communications experience, he will serve as assistant vice president of marketing and communications at Queens University of Charlotte.

A native of Otego, New York, Moss served as a reporter, anchor, and producer for roughly seven years at news stations across the East Coast before transitioning to a career in marketing full time. Moss began by leading storytelling efforts on behalf of the marketing office at The Ohio State University, where he served as a senior writer and brand journalist. Most recently, Moss was director of marketing and communications at Carolinas College of Health Sciences in Charlotte.

“I love the energy of being on a college campus,” Moss said. “I love telling stories of outstanding individuals who are looking to make a difference in the world. Queens has an overwhelming number of students, faculty, staff, and alumni with stories that reflect a dedication to service and citizenship.”

Moss will oversee the Office of Marketing and Communications at Queens and will partner with Adrienne Oddi, vice president of strategic enrollment and communications at Queens, to craft brand-enhancing strategies that boost enrollment.

“As assistant vice president of marketing and communications, Justin will work closely with partners across campus to enhance existing pathways for internal and external communication to drive enrollment,” said Oddi. “With so much on the horizon for Queens, we are excited for another leader to join our campus as we continue to build Queens’ brand on a global scale.”

A passionate storyteller, Moss graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. He later received his Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University. Moss and his wife, Chelsea, live in Charlotte with their daughter, Natalie, and enjoy exploring the Queen City on the weekends as a family.

“I’m looking forward to playing a part in our future growth and excellence as an institution,” said Moss. “It truly is an amazing time to join the Queens University family.”
