Transferring to Queens Admission Process

Application Deadlines

November 1 – Spring Priority Deadline

April 1 – Fall Priority Deadline

Want to become a Royal? Here’s how to do it in three steps!

Step One: Submit Your Application

Queens has two ways to apply – the Queens application and the Common Application.

The Queens application allows you to apply directly to the university. The Common Application lets you apply to multiple colleges and universities at once. And you won’t have to worry about any application fees!

Step Two: Official Transcript(s) & Other Necessary Documentation

1. Request an official transcript be sent to Queens from each college or university you have attended.

2. Request your final high school transcript. You can do this through your high school’s website.

3. A Statement of Good Standing form that is signed by the Dean of Students’ office at your most recent college or university. Please send this to admissions@queens.edu.

1. Request an official, English-translated* secondary school (high school) transcript be sent to Queens.

*Transcripts must be translated into English by an official at the school or a certified translating service, such as World Education Services (WES), IEE, or SpanTran.

2. Students must submit a course-by-course evaluation from a certified translating service, such as World Education Services (WES), IEE, or SpanTran.

3. Submit standardized English Proficiency Test Scores.

Students have the option of submitting TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, SAT, or ACT scores to meet the testing requirement.

Minimum scores to meet our English proficiency standards are:

  • TOEFL (iBT) – 79
  • IELTS – 6.0
  • Duolingo – 110
  • SAT – 480 on the Evidence Based Critical Reading and Writing section
  • ACT – 18 on the English section

Step Three: Optional Elements

Queens wants to see you as a whole person, not just numbers on a page. So, we’re asking you – what else do you think is important to share with us that will tell the whole story of you?

Official SAT or ACT Scores

Queens University of Charlotte is permanently an ACT and SAT test-optional college. We care deeply about what you are doing each day in your community. Your application will be complete and fully considered whether you send us scores or not.

If you want to complete your application without test scores, make sure to select “no” under Testing plan. If you forget or change your mind later, contact your admission counselor, who can update that for you.

If you want to complete your application with test scores, send us a PDF of your score report to admissions@queens.edu or have the testing agency send your scores directly to Queens using these codes:

  • Queens SAT code: 5560
  • Queens ACT code: 3148

Your resume

This is just another way for us to get to know you and what you’ve been up to!

Letters of Recommendation

Do you work with a faculty member, employer, or community leader who knows you really well? If you do, we’d love to hear from them through a letter of recommendation.

Interviews

Interviews are a great way for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us. We want to meet you and to put a face with a name.

There’s no reason to feel nervous or uncertain! The admissions team are all friendly and here to help you. Contact your admissions counselor to plan your interview.
