ASUN Female Student-Athlete of the Year, Sophia Lange ’24.
Sophie Lange ’24 Named ASUN Female Student-Athlete of the Year
Last month, Sophia Lange ’24 was named the 2024 ASUN Female Student-Athlete of the Year. Lange’s achievement makes her the first-ever for Queens.
Lange achieved two first place finishes in the 1650 and 500-yard freestyle events at the 2024 ASUN Championships. She was also a three-time finalist at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships in March, competing in the 1650, 1000, and 200-yard freestyle events. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while earning her degree in International Studies with a minor in Peace and Conflict Resolution. Read the full story.

Jayson Alexander ’25 Secures Constant Contact Sponsorship for 2024 NASCAR Season
McColl School of Business student and lacrosse player, Jayson Alexander ’25, will continue pursuing his NASCAR dreams while driving the #11 Constant Contact vehicle this year. The Apex, North Carolina native will appear in eight races throughout the 2024 season.
Constant Contact, a digital marketing and automation platform, will be the primary sponsor of Jayson Alexander Racing during select ARCA Menards and Carolina Pro Late Model Series races in 2024. A group of Queens students, Jordan Sanders ’26 among them, recently set out on a unique caving adventure at Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. This week-long journey provided the students with a hands-on experience to explore the cave’s magnificent geological structures, its deep-seated cultural history, and intricate ecosystem up close.
