Biography

Dr. Joanne Walsh has been a faculty member at Queens since 2014. Born in Miami, Florida, she teaches Animal Nutrition, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology and other biology courses.

Dr. Walsh has previously taught at Belmont Abbey College and Central Piedmont Community College. Prior to teaching she practiced small animal veterinary medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada. Currently she serves on the Student Qualifications Committee and is the faculty advisor for the Equine Club and Pre-Veterinary Club.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, dogs and tortoises. She also enjoys running, bike riding and watching her younger daughter play lacrosse.
