History
What You’ll Study
Are you curious about how the present has been shaped by the past? Explore this vital question in classes with award-winning faculty, a low student-faculty ratio, and a caring, close-knit community of scholars. Our hands-on history courses invite students to discover connections through role-playing simulations, archival research, field trips, game design, and a variety of digital tools.
Students will develop, refine, and master the skills required to succeed in an ever-changing world. For example, our students are encouraged to think independently while supporting their claims with evidence through clear and concise writing. Every history student at Queens who maintains a GPA of 3.0 or above is eligible for our Preyer History Fellowship, which offers financial support and funded professional experiences, such as travel, research, conferences, paid assistantships and internships, networking events, and more.
