Award-winning Faculty, Low Student-Faculty Ratio, Close-knit Community

Are you curious about how the past has shaped the present? The History program at Queens University invites you to explore this vital question through innovative courses, an award-winning faculty, and a caring, close-knit community of scholars. Our hands-on history courses invite students to develop, refine, and master the skills required to succeed in an ever-changing world, whether your degree takes you to graduate school, corporate America, non-profit work, the government sector, or the classroom. More importantly, you will be equipped to navigate the world as an informed and intelligent global citizen. If your imagination is hearty and your sense of curiosity is strong, you can debate with the American founders, explore vast empires, occupy Alcatraz Island during the fight for Red Power, or march against Cortés in 16th-century Mexico.
