Queens University of Charlotte Names Matt Packey as New CFO and VP for Administration
Matt Packey has been appointed as the chief financial officer and vice president for administration at Queens University of Charlotte, effective immediately. This appointment follows his exemplary service as interim CFO since June. Packey assumed that role with unwavering dedication and expertise, ensuring the continued stability and strength of Queens’ financial leadership.
Packey’s contributions to Queens span over 13 years, during which he has held various leadership roles including CFO, counsel to the president, and most recently, associate vice president for sustainability and institutional planning.
“Matt possesses a deep understanding of the unique complexities of the higher education landscape,” said Queens University President Dan Lugo. “His invaluable leadership will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping Queens’ bright future.”
As CFO and VP for administration, Packey will continue to oversee all aspects of the university’s financial operations, many of Queens’ administrative and facilities functions, and provide strategic oversight for Queens’ sustainability initiatives that aim to transform the university into a greener, more sustainable campus. Packey will continue to guide the university’s commitment to making informed and conscious decisions that positively impact the environment.
