Paul Joyce, MSOD
Biography
Paul Joyce has been serving as Executive Director for executive leadership programs at Queens University of Charlotte since 2015. In this capacity, he is responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of the McColl School of Business’ Executive Leadership Institute. Paul also serves as an adjunct faculty member of the McColl School of Business in the subject areas of management consulting, change, and leadership development.
Prior to coming to Queens, Paul was a Director in the National Management Consulting Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (aka PwC). Specifically, Paul was on the leadership team of PwC’s Human Capital Competency where he was accountable for the firm’s US Strategic Change Practice working with senior executives to advise and assist them in designing and implementing large-scale strategy and culture transformations. In his practice leadership role, Paul was responsible for developing methodology, tools, and training for PwC’s strategic change engagements. Paul has authored and co-authored position papers on organizational change including Best Fit Change Approach, The Change Constant, and Closing the Gap between Strategy & Execution. He has also been a speaker on internal change capabilities at The Conference Board’s Change Management Conference and at the Association of Change Management Professionals Conference. Paul joined PwC’s leadership in 2010 following the acquisition of his Charlotte-based consulting firm, Conequity Resources LLC where he was Managing Principal.
Paul brings four decades of consulting and client-side experience across many different industry sectors with both private and public companies. Previously, he’s held executive roles with both profit-center and cost-center accountabilities. The experience Paul has had in these roles gives him the ability, and credibility, to relate to issues leaders face on a daily basis.
Paul earned his B.S. in Administrative Management from Clemson University and his M.S. in Organizational Development from Queens University of Charlotte. Paul serves on three not-for-profit boards – Silent Images (Chairman), Mission Charlotte, and Clearly Reformed. Paul also serves as an elder and Executive Leadership Team member at Christ Covenant Church, Matthews, NC.
