Loretta Evivie, Ed.D.

Biography
Dr. Loretta Evivie teaches a mix of undergraduate courses in business and general education and graduate courses in business. In addition, Dr. Evivie serves as a faculty mentor/advisor to students in the Charlotte Talent Initiative (CTI), First Generation Investors (FGI), and the Business Club.
Dr. Evivie’s academic experience includes over 20 years in higher education teaching a variety of business, international business, management, organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, and corporate finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels; she also served as a higher education administrator for seven years. Her prior industry experience includes leadership positions in non-profit and healthcare; and working as a personal financial/investment analyst, accountant, tax auditor, and auditor.
Dr. Evivie’s community/professional/research interests include inclusive leadership, the post-secondary education achievement gap, higher education/curriculum relevancy in developing countries, and girls’ education and empowerment.
Dr. Evivie is civically engaged in the Charlotte community; she serves on the executive committee of the Board of Directors of International House and on the Community Advisory Board of WFAE Radio 90.7, Charlotte. She is a member of the UNCF Maya Angelou Women Who Lead Luncheon Committee and a member of Good Friends Charlotte. She is also past chair of the Board of Directors of Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council, Charlotte.
Dr. Evivie’s community awards/recognition include The Mecklenburg Times Class of 2021 50 Most Influential Women, The Career Mastered National Women’s Leadership Diversity Impact 50 Award Class of 2023, Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators in 2024 and Marquis Who’s Who Distinguished Leaders: 2024 Honorees.
