Leah Brackett

Leah Brackett

Assistant Athletic Director for Sport Administration/Director of Campus Recreation

Leah Brackett joined the Royals in July 2022 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Club Sports & Wellness, bringing over 16 years of experience in campus recreation, student development, and competitive sports management. In this role, she provides leadership for club sports and emerging NCAA programs, oversees operations at the Levine Center for Wellness and Recreation, and spearheads student employee development initiatives.

Before joining Queens, Brackett was a key leader at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF), where she enhanced recreational programs, improved student engagement in intramural sports, and developed a student leadership pipeline that equipped employees with transferable management skills. She also expanded community partnerships, securing camp scholarships and organizing large-scale events that increased UMF’s presence beyond campus.

Brackett’s career in recreation and wellness began with the Boys & Girls Club/YMCA in Waterville, Maine, and the City of Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department, where she managed diverse programming for youth, teens, and seniors.

A former collegiate basketball player, Brackett attended Keene State College before transferring to the University of Vermont, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation Management.

Passionate about fostering student growth through recreation and wellness, she continues to create meaningful opportunities for engagement, leadership, and community connection at Queens University.

Graduate Assistant, Queens University of Charlotte Campus Recreation

Tertius Dietrechsen is a dedicated leader within Queens University of Charlotte’s Campus Recreation, where he has served as a Building Supervisor since August 2022. In his current role as a graduate assistant, he leads a team of student employees, oversees scheduling, and promotes operational efficiency. Passionate about fostering community engagement, Tertius has spearheaded initiatives to boost memberships and increase participation in intramural activities.

Beyond his contributions to campus recreation, Tertius is pursuing a Master of Science in Finance and Data Analytics, building on his Bachelor of Business in Finance with a minor in Leadership. A former Resident Assistant and a Division 1 Rugby athlete, he is recognized for his leadership, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.

His dedication to service extends beyond the university, with active involvement in community initiatives and a passion for making a positive impact.

Intern, Queens University of Charlotte Campus Recreation

Francesca is a dedicated student-athlete majoring in Sport Management at Queens University. As a member of the women’s triathlon program, she balances academics, athletics, and professional development. Currently, she is gaining hands-on experience through a campus recreation internship, focusing on marketing and social media. Passionate about the intersection of sports, media, and community engagement, she strives to make a lasting impact in the sports industry.

Hunter Meyer

Intern, Queens University of Charlotte Campus Recreation

Hunter Meyer is a senior at Queens University of Charlotte, where he is pursuing a major in Sports Management. He is also currently a Division I lacrosse athlete, recognized for his hard work and commitment to his team.

As an ambitious student-athlete, Hunter is also gaining practical experience in the sports industry through his current role as a Campus Recreation Intern. In this position, he is actively involved in supporting various recreation programs, the intramural sports program, as well as further honing his skills in website and social media development.

Hunter has a strong passion for sports, and he looks forward to using his experiences to contribute to the future of sports management and athletics.
