Group Fitness
Our group fitness classes offer a variety of workouts, from high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to low-impact options. These dynamic sessions provide a motivating environment where you can push your limits, improve endurance, and feel supported by a community of participants.

Lauren Cox
Putting passion and expertise forward, Lauren became a certified Human Movement Specialist, Foam Rolling Specialist, as well as TRX Certified. After 8 years of education and experience, Lauren can say she is an anatomy nerd, amazed by the human body, and finding something new to learn every single day. She loves to educate her clients and build awareness that they can confidently carry with them for a lifetime.
Lauren specializes in corrective exercise, bridging the gap between physical therapy, personal training, and group fitness. Her job is much more than prescribing exercises and counting reps. She helps clients build healthy habits, working from the ground up to establish a solid foundation. Lauren focuses on managing stress, teaching healthy food choices, and fostering self-forgiveness when setbacks occur.
Yoga
Center your mind and body with our calming yoga sessions. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, we offer classes that cater to all levels. Experience increased flexibility, stress relief, and mindfulness as you flow through poses designed to strengthen both your body and your mental clarity.

Courtney Ward
Courtney Ward is a passionate yoga instructor with over a decade of personal practice. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2023 at Bali Yoga Ashram, where she refined her expertise in alignment, breathwork, and meditation. A cum laude graduate of SUNY Cortland with a B.A. in Business Economics, Courtney’s background in customer experience and project management gives her a unique understanding of burnout and stress. She specializes in helping individuals find balance by incorporating mindfulness, breathwork, and restorative practices. Courtney is dedicated to supporting the diverse Queens community—athletes, students, and staff alike—by creating a welcoming space for everyone to build strength, flexibility, and mental clarity.
Zumba
Get your groove on with Zumba! This high-energy dance workout combines Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow choreography for a full-body workout that’s as fun as it is effective. Whether you’re dancing with friends or solo, Zumba will leave you feeling energized and ready to take on the day.
Terri Sanderson
Licensed Zumba instructor. I have taught Zumba at Queens with Shavonn for just over a year. In the past I have taught Zumba at Curves (since closed) and done private classes for different businesses. I currently lead a jam session (along with Shavonn) to warm up the largest class (75+) at the Harris YMCA. I enjoy the challenge of merging different dance styles of Zumba with elements of fitness to give our students the ultimate workout. Come check out Zumba on Mondays and Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. We love to welcome new students to our class!
