Please complete the following steps to ensure you are financially on track to begin a successful academic year at Queens.
- If you have not already done so, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. Queens school code is 002957.
- Review your financial aid. Financial aid notices will be emailed to your Queens email account. After you receive your financial aid notice and login credentials, students can log into the myFinancialAid portal to accept or decline your eligible loan funds.
- In order to take advantage of Federal Direct Loans, first-time borrowers must complete Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN) on the Federal Student Aid website. If there aren’t any preliminary Federal Direct Loans on your student account then steps 1-3 are not complete.
- Should you require funding in addition to your financial aid, you may apply for the Graduate Plus Loan on the Federal Student Aid website. Complete the Graduate Plus Loan application and sign the Master Promissory Note (MPN) to finish this process.
- Complete your Cash Management form. All students wishing to use financial aid to cover discretionary charges such as student health insurance, bookstore charges or fines must complete this form.
- Complete your Financial Services Access Code form. All students must complete this form if they wish to discuss financial aid or account information via telephone or email. Parents or other third parties of dependent students who inquire about financial aid or student account information will be asked to provide this code.
- Take care of your net balance after financial aid. Due dates are:
Fall – August 1
Spring – January 6
Summer – May 1
- Pay in Full: Payments can be made through MyAccount. Queens University of Charlotte accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and E-check. Students can set up a “Parent Pin” on MyAccount for parents or other third-party payers via the “Student Account” link. Simply select “Make a Payment Online” and select “add new”.
OR - Setup a Payment Plan: Visit the Payment Options webpage for payment plan options and instructions.
All referenced forms and worksheets can be accessed by visiting the Financial Aid Forms webpage.
